I have been living in Bangalore the last 5 years or so. Prices of everything, from vegetables to rent to food has shot up several times. Sometimes the prices are so high , you get a feeling, you are in US or UK.
I understand folks have money , working in SW industry etc. But, dude, this is not San Francisco or New Jersey. We are still a developing country. Realestate has seen the biggest increase so far. At this rate, the cost of living in Bangalore will overtake that of San Francisco. And we would erode our cost advantage . And soon the jobs will take flight as well, to may be Vietnam or Thailand or someother country.
